A lot of my clients tell me that they hate having their pictures made. I get it. It can be uncomfortable when you don’t really know what to do.

But here is what you can expect from me. We will laugh and have fun. I will probably tell horrible jokes, and I will try to make you laugh. I’m not all that funny though, so we may have to improvise. Maybe I’ll ask you to tell the jokes. HAHA

Fresh 48 Photography isn’t a portrait session. It is an editorial style session of those quiet peaceful moments after birth. It is about documenting those moments that you spend bonding and getting to know your newborn. It is about documenting ten tiny fingers and ten tiny toes. It is about the love that you have for your family. And it is about the quiet, the peace, and the stillness that comes with new life.

Your Online Gallery

You will receive your fully edited high resolution images delivered to you in a gorgeous online gallery. I do not limit the number of images you will receive. If the image is pretty, you will get it.

The gallery allows you to download your images to your computer so that you can have them forever. You can order prints from any lab of your choice simply by uploading your images to their website. But what’s even better than that is that you can also order your prints directly from your gallery. We do all the work for you. When your order directly from your gallery, your images are printed at a professional quality lab rather than a consumer quality lab. This gives you access to a photo lab that only photographers have access to. And the cost of prints are VERY affordable. The choice is yours.

Your gallery also allows you to share with friends and family. All you have to do is send them the link! And if you want to share your download PIN with them, you can!

You may be wondering…

I strongly believe in the under promise/over deliver philosophy. I always ask for at least two weeks to get everything fully edited and uploaded into your online gallery, but it usually takes less.

First of all… BE YOURSELF! But keep in mind that solid colors work best. Sometimes the busy patterns or prints can be a little distracting in your photos. Feel free to layer multiple colors within the same tones, but try to stay away from busy prints and patterns. And don’t forget to accessorize. Sometimes all it takes to take your photos to the next level is the perfect pair of shoes, gorgeous jewelry, sunglasses, hats or caps, or even a jacket!

My answer to this will never change. Evenings are always best. The beautiful evening light is the most flattering for everyone. I will always do my best to schedule with you at whatever time is convenient for you, but keep in mind that the sun is higher in the sky during the daytime hours and it can sometimes be a little harsh. Most sessions look best when shot an hour and a half to two hours before sunset. This time may vary depending on what time of year your schedule.

I have several places that I absolutely love to shoot at in Natchitoches. I will definitely share my suggestions once we discuss what look you are going for. If you want your session to take place outside of Natchitoches, we will put our heads together. I always enjoy discovering new places.
