My name is Wendy Robinette!

I am a southern portrait photographer based out of Natchitoches La creating a made-from-scratch life on a backyard hobby farm with my amazing husband Jason, our farm raised kids, and a few fluffy bunnies.

 

 

My Story

My life has turned into a joyful adventure! After living in Nashville, Tn most of my life, I decided to move 700 miles south to raise my kids on a tiny backyard farm in rural Louisiana. I set out on a journey to live a minimalist life while raising my girls in a place where there is time to watch things grow and spend most of our days barefoot in the grass. I believe that childhood should be spent barefoot as much as possible, so I packed up my camera and my kids and began creating a made-from-scratch life on a tiny backyard hobby farm with a few fluffy bunnies. 

Little did I know that uprooting our lives and my photography business would change our lives forever. It is here in rural Louisiana where Jason and I met a nine year old little girl, who through a series of God orchestrated events became our daughter. Adoption was never on our radar, but it has truly been the biggest blessing of our lives.

When I am not shooting portraits, I can usually be found at a ball field, a basketball court, or a football field. My teenage daughters keep us very busy between softball, basketball, cheerleading, and ROTC. We also travel around the southern states chasing after ribbons and trophies at a rabbit show. We stay busy all year long, because my daughters want to do ALL THE THINGS! I wouldn’t trade this for anything in the world. One day soon it will all be over, and honestly… I’m not ready.
