Birthdays are the perfect time for portraits! When this family contacted me about a birthday session for Riley, I was pretty excited! Riley turned two years old, and this is such a fun age.
One thing I love about portrait sessions for toddlers is that they don’t sit still. Yes you read that correctly. I love it when they refuse to sit still. Why? Because it allows their true personality to shine in their portraits. And that is exactly what happened in Riley’s session.
His smile was so infectious! He was having so much fun. Sometimes parents and photographers need to just remember to let these littles be little. And that’s exactly what we did during Riley’s session. His birthday was all about tractors, dump trucks, and cowboy boots. We got a little bit of it all.
After spending a little time at their family home to get some pictures of Riley with his “dump truck” as he called it, we went downtown to the riverbank in Natchitoches to grab some more pictures of him wearing his cowboy boots.
Riley had so much fun running around. He was hard for me to keep up with that’s for sure! HAHA. I wish I had half of his energy.
I’m so thankful for this family! I am very thankful for those of you who continue to allow me to document all of the major milestones in your lives. Birthdays are special, and I am honored that you choose to share those moments with me.
